This is my first journal *hides* ahem...Hi guys! So, Yesterday I finished watching Makoto Shinkai's, "The Garden of Words: (言の葉の庭, Kotonoha no Niwa). It just came out May 31 2013 in Japan. It will be coming to DVD in America...August 6th I believe?

Anyway! If you a fan of his work (he's done 5cm per second, Place Promised in our Early Days, Children Who Chase Lost Voices, ETC ETC) You have to watch this one! I like it because it's short, sweet and to the point (46 MINUTES). There are some areas of the movie that needed improvement on, such as character development (I wanted to know more information about Yukino! ;m; ). But I had to look at the overall picture of the movie and its relevance to the title. The Garden of Words...the movie has such a lovely soundtrack! (like all of his movies) The colors and rain are all so breath-taking! It's a perfect time to watch this movie because it sets the mood for summer...Summer love~ aaah~~ I want to say more about the movie but I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet! But here's the general summary;

"Takao, who is training to become a shoemaker, skipped school and is sketching shoes in a Japanese-style garden. He meets a mysterious woman, Yukino, who is older than him. Then, without arranging the times, the two start to see each other again and again, but only on rainy days. They deepen their relationship and open up to each other. But the end of the rainy season soon approaches…"

There's so much more anime I'm looking forward to watching this summer...whats on your list?
